Sioux Falls Donation and Disposal Guide

• The Furniture Mission: Accepts gently used furniture (beds, couches, tables). Items must be stain/tear-free. 
• Habitat for Humanity ReStore: Best for appliances (must be working), doors, windows, and surplus building materials.
• Owens Outfitters: gently-used medical equipment or brand-new supplies
• Savers: Other than large appliances and mattresses Savers is a good option for a one spot drop

• Mattresses & Box Springs: The Sioux Falls Landfill currently charges $15.00 per piece for recycling.
• Major Appliances: Expect a $20.00 fee for items like fridges, washers, and water heaters.
• Electronics: Do not take these to the landfill. Residents of Minnehaha, Lincoln, McCook, Turner, and Lake counties can drop off up to 5 TVs or computers per year for FREE at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility (1015 E. Chambers St).
• Tires: Landfill $3.00 for passenger tires (under 17"); $8.00 for larger tires. (no tires on rims)

Loading a truck, tarping the load (required by law!), and waiting in line at the landfill is a half-day job. If you have a mixture of "landfill junk" and "donatable items," Hurry Haulers makes it easy. Unlike the big guys, we allow mixed-use loads. Toss the mattress, the old fridge, and the construction debris into one of our driveway-friendly trailers. We’ll handle the sorting and the specialized disposal for you. Or we can do all the heavy lifting.
